WHY SHOULD I GO WITH INVISIBLE BRACES?

People normally love to have straight aligned celebrity teeth, but not everyone dream comes true. The most common way of teeth alignment is braces, people believes that braces is most effective treatment for aligning teeth.  One major disadvantage of wearing on braces is the discomfort and pain that dental patients usually experience when having braces installed. This is because of the metal frame is usually used when making the brace. It will run through the teeth and produce a sensitivity that will render the teeth prone to dental pain

Clear Aligners are an alternative to traditional braces and are designed to help guide teeth into their proper position. Similar to braces, clear aligners use a gradual force to control tooth movement, but without metal wires or brackets. The aligners are made of a strong plastic material and are fabricated to fit each person’s mouth. If a series of aligners are made, each aligner moves the teeth a little bit more into place until the desired movement is completed. Aligners are worn for at least 20 hours a day to reach the desired maximum effectiveness.  Each aligner is worn for three weeks before changing to the next one.  The length of treatment with aligners depends upon the severity of each case. Typically, aligner treatment can be as short as three weeks or as long as six months.  Still, a much shorter treatment than traditional braces.

Some of the other advantages of clear aligners and clear braces include

Approximating the treatment duration a little more precisely than braces
Avoiding extractions of premolars by creating interdental space via interproximal reduction
Less frequent trips to the dentists in pune chair by allowing the patients to replace their aligners on their own every few weeks

Healthier periodontal tissue and less risk of enamel decalcification by avoiding brackets
Aesthetics: Clear aligners are often not visible, allowing patients to smile with greater confidence.
The comfortable plastic and its smooth edges never hurt your gum, tongue or teeth.

All we need to know about Dental Implants

WHAT IS AN OSSEOINTEGRATED DENTAL IMPLANT?

A Dental implant is a screw shaped titanium fixture that is used to replace the root of a missing tooth. Dental Implants are a well proven treatment method used to replace missing teeth.
The Implants acts like a foundation to support crowns, bridges or dentures.
The implant is connected directly to the bone. This connection is called Osseo integration. This bond is strong enough to withstand the forces during chewing.

WHERE CAN DENTAL IMPLANTS ARE USED?

Dental Implants can be used to:
Replace a single missing tooth.
Replace multiple missing teeth.
Replace all missing teeth.

WHY MISSING TEETH SHOULD BE REPLACED?

When you lose a tooth, several negative things may happen. Aesthetics and chewing ability may be lost and teeth may start drifting.
Replacing a missing tooth not only helps to prevent the collapse of your bite, it replaces form, function and aesthetics and brings about harmony to your dentition.

WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS TO REPLACE MISSING TEETH?

There are three ways that you can replace missing teeth:
By using removable dentures.
By the use of fixed bridges.
By the use of dental implants.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF DENTAL IMPLANTS OVER BRIDGES?

To make a bridge, adjacent teeth need to be prepared by grinding them down. This may lead to sensitivity and in certain teeth a root canal procedure may be necessary.
Dental Implants on the other hand do not require any modification to the adjacent teeth thereby preserving natural tooth structure.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF OVERDENTURE IMPLANTS?

People wearing dentures often complain of the dentures being loose while eating or speaking and this can lead to embarrassing situations.
With just a few implants your dentures can be secured so that such a situation can be easily prevented and so that you can chew your food with comfort and ease.

WHAT ARE THE MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS I SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT?

Dental Implant procedure is a minor surgical procedure that is carried out in the dental chair. Any condition that contraindicates a minor surgery will contraindicate the dental implant surgical procedure.
Although not a complete contra-indication, the special conditions that need special mention and consideration are:
Pregnancy
Some Cardiovascular Diseases
Diabetes
Smoking and Tobacco
Bruxism
For more information please consult your dentist.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE DENTAL IMPLANTATION PROCEDURE?

The placing of the implant is a painless procedure as your Dentists In Pune  gives you a local anesthetic. Healing after the surgery is usually also painless and uneventful.
You can resume your regular work immediately after the procedure. Just follow the instructions provided by your dentist.
Healing of the bone around the implant takes normally between three and six months.
After that your dentist will take further measurements to make a custom restoration which will then be fitted onto the implant.

HOW LONG DO DENTAL IMPLANTS LAST?

The first implant was placed more than 50 years ago and it has worked till now. There should be no reason that the implant shouldn’t last you a lifetime as long as you maintain them daily and have them checked periodically.
Just as in healthy teeth, implants will stay healthy in a healthy mouth.
In the rare case of a failure, all myriad implants have a lifetime guarantee for free component replacement.

6 Tips to Build Trust with Patients

Without a foundation of patient trust, it’s very hard for you to succeed as a dentist. When you build trust with your patients, you get more acceptances, more referrals, and a growing practice. Hence, if you want to build long term connections with your patients, the people who rely on you to treat their oral problems, you need them to trust you.

Here are the top tips that will help you build trust with your patients.

1. You never get a second chance to create the first impression

First impressions can make or break anything. And you only get one chance to create that first impression that makes your patients trust you. To create the first impression, you need to:
– Be authoritative: All of us are trained from an early age to trust and respect authorities. To give that impression of authority, think about what you and your staff wears. When the patient sees you in a professional uniform, that’s when you demonstrate a sense of authority.
– Show credentials: Credentials demonstrate authority. Make sure your patient can clearly see yours when they walk in.
– Make a good introduction: A 30 second personal introduction with a new patient can go a long way in building trust with your patients. It doesn’t take a lot to come out to the waiting room and meet the new patient and introduce yourself.

2. It is healthcare, not health-sell

You don’t need to ‘sell’ to your patients. It’s a false assumption that any healthcare professional has to be in sales. In fact, the experience of being sold to can feel negative and manipulative for both dentists and patients. Sales strategies not only reduce trust between dentist and patient, but have also been proven to result in mis-selling accusations. Read this article on more mistakes dentists must avoid that can affect their career.

So, instead of adopting a selling technique, try to build trust with your patients. To do this, you have to address their fears, concerns, needs and desires.
A preclinical interview really helps with that. To really understand what your patients want and desire, you need to ask them questions and genuinely talk to them. Get to know what their goals are in the preclinical interview. When you understand their needs and desires, you can more easily make sure their needs are met.

3. Demonstrate why you need to do what you need to do

Instead of telling your patients that they need to schedule an appointment to get their cavities filled, first demonstrate and explain to them the problem. Use digital imaging system, x-rays, and models to explain the problem. After explaining the diagnosis, explain what will happen if they don’t treat the problem. Then follows the treatment plan. When explaining the treatment procedure, let the patient know that you understand their concerns about time and cost and that they can schedule an appointment whenever they’re ready.

4. Good communication is the clear winner

You not only need to talk to your patients and communicate well with them but you also need to train your staff to develop a good communication system within the office. When the patient walks in and the receptionist asks “what brings you here?”, make sure they are listening to the patient and communicating everything to the other staff in the office. With this strategy, when the patient sits in the dental chair the hygienist doesn’t ask the same question again and he or she already knows why the patient is here. And finally, everything is communicated back to the dentist.

5. Be consistent with everything

Consistency builds trust. If you’re true to your values, communicate well with your patients, and are consistent with your behavior, it will ultimately help build trust with your patients. When your patients have a consistently good experience with you, they will recommend you to others. This ultimately makes your practice grow.

6. Get the whole team involved

To build trust with your patients, you need to work together with the whole team. Everyone has to be working to the best of their ability. Dentists In Pune To ensure consistently good performance get the whole team involved in continuing education courses and try to make everyone as excited about dentistry as you are. Hence, when a patient walks in and they ask the receptionist about implants, the person should be able to reply with understanding, instead of saying something like “I have no idea about that.”

The above tips will help you build trust with your patients and ultimately make you succeed.
